Overview and history

HELP International Corporation Berhad (HELP Group) was incorporated on 20 June 2005 as the investment holding company for its various businesses, which are primarily in the field of education. Currently, the HELP Group consists of five main institutions, HELP University (HU); HELP Academy (HA); HELP College of Arts and Technology (HELP CAT); the College of Automotive Technology Management, a joint venture with NAZA Group of Companies; and HELP International School.

HELP University (HU), the main contributor to HELP Group, has been a pioneer and innovator in tertiary education in Malaysia since 1986, and has an established reputation and brand recognition in the market. HU was among the pioneers who introduced foreign twinning and external programmes to Malaysia in the 1980s, and is also one of the leading colleges' conferred University College status by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in August 2004 and was subsequently conferred full university status in November 2011.

HELP Academy is the provider of twinning programs at HELP and offers the London GCE Edexcel A-Levels, which is the largest in the world out of UK; the University of London International Programmes and the University of East London programmes.

HELP CAT at Fraser Business Park, Kuala Lumpur is part of a multi-campus development of the HELP Group. A purpose-designed campus, HELP CAT offers a wide range of innovative academic, professional and vocational programs such as the Centre of Culinary Entrepreneurship, in partnership with Institut Paul Bocuse of France, the class-leading 4+0 Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) programs and a wide range of diploma, short courses and professional programs such as ACCA and CAT to increase options for credit transfer and competency training.

HELP International School is HELP Group's first foray into primary and secondary education in Malaysia. The school will be modeled after UK's syllabus leading up to the Edexcel A-Levels. The school will begin operation in January 2014, at Subang Bestari, Selangor.

The HELP Group has more than 11,000 students, with a large number of overseas students from 80 countries across the globe pursuing their degrees at its various institutions.
